During the 2013 GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN, the Station In Vivo, a “social economy cafe” (Olympic stadium rotunda) took home the PRIX CAFÉ.

Perfectly preserving the transparency of the existing glass enclosure while creating a natural interaction between indoor and outdoor spaces, the former Montreal Expos boutique was transformed into a cafe and terrace. A large illuminated cube is a focal design point that expertly conceals a storage space.

This project is a wonderful example of how a space can be given a second lease on life. Yet another innovative project by Cardin Julien.
