For its 350th anniversary, the City of Terrebonne commissioned Cardin Julien to design a new outdoor stage in the heart of the Parc Philippe-Villeneuve. The goal of the design team was not only to create a performance and creative space, but also to act as a gathering place year-round.
The Jeanne-Mance Residence project aimed to expand a typical 1950s house in the Ahuntsic district. Cardin Julien planned, among other things, an extension with the addition of two bedrooms upstairs as well as a bathroom adjoining the master bedroom.
The project comes to life following the architectural competition won by Cardin Julien in collaboration with ARCANE. From the past to the future, the Grands Moulins de Villancourt are an important part of the industrial and human heritage of the agglomeration and the communes of Echirolles and Pont-de-Claix. This place will encourage all young people, as well as their parents, to (re)discover the interest of scientific fields, at the crossroads of today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.
The future Espace citoyen des confluents will be a significant milestone in the eastern part of this major Quebec municipality. The new centre will offer a variety of services to citizens where there were none before: a library, community spaces, a multifunctional theater, and a police station. The space is intended to be anchored in the daily lives of residents.
The project involved transforming the Notre-Dame-de-Fatima church into a cultural center for the City of Boisbriand, to house the Petit Théâtre du Nord team, among others. The goal was to offer residents a versatile and multipurpose space, providing four different room configurations.
The new exploration centre of the Parc de la Rivière-des-Milles-Îles in Laval offers a space for the interpretation of surrounding ecosystems as well as annual educational activities. The major intervention is the demolition of the old pavilion and the construction of a new center at least twice as big.
